Coordinating for Cohesion in the Public Sector of the Future

EMPM Closing Seminar

This year, COCOPS was the focus of the closing seminar at Hertie School´s Executive Master of Public Management (EMPM). As part of a larger debate on public sector developments and NPM-type of reforms in the last decades, participants were offered an insight into the scope and goals of the large-scale research that COCOPS has set to achieve. Building on their professional experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors across Europe, the EMPM students prepared concrete inputs and recommendations in relation to selected COCOPS work packages. The event was a valuable opportunity for exchange between the Hertie School COCOPS team and public sector practitioners.

The seminar was convened by Gerhard Hammerschmid and Kai Wegrich, together with guest professors Walter Kickert, from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and Jobst Fiedler from the Hertie School.
