PANEL 4: THE GOVERNANCE OF’ ‘WICKED PROBLEMS’: EMERGING COORDINATION PRACTICES IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

The focus of this panel is on new coordination practices emerging in public administrations in Europe. The panel addresses governance arrangements, and the way they can contribute to the achievement of social cohesion through integrating the interests and creeds of different actors engaged in the processes of policy making and implementation. Coordination practices emerging in the central government and in the policy fields of health and employment services are especially relevant from this perspective.
